I registered with Equifax and noticed all of the items that 6 years or older were cleared including my student loan accounts. However when I check Transunion, they are all still showing there. Student loan accounts are showing as paid and transferred.

Does anyone know why Transunion would still show them but not Equifax?

Also, is if fair to assume that they can't sue me anymore because of the statue of limitations? I wasn't really sure when 6 years will kick in but since Equifax has removed the items, I guess 6 years has passed already.

Thanks

Trans union doesn't share or follow the same policy as Equifax. You would be best served contacting your Provincial ministry that is charged with overseeing credit reporting. Usually consumer protection and consumer reporting are one in the same.

It's never fair to say someone won't sue you unless you arr ABSOLUTELY certain that they are bound by whichever law that prevents such action. Assumption has gotten many people into trouble over the years.
