So I went and filed my income tax yesterday and found out that I had an outstanding old Student loan and that they are taking my income tax returns. I spoke with the National student loans and they informed me that it defaulted and that it went into collections. I contacted the collection agency and told them that i was unaware and had forgotten about the loan as it was from over 10 years ago. They told me that i owe them $10,000 and that I have to pay it back as it isn't a Stats Barred and that its a crown debt and will never go away and will keep accumulating interest. I told them I have no means of a way to pay back that kind of money and they demanded that I fill out a financial questioneer amd send it back to them ASAP. I have not done so and they keep calling me and I don't know what to do. Need help please! Thanks in advance

Scotiabank doesn;t take any tax money. Only the federal and-or provincial government for those loans.
