I owe my old school money which was discharged during a consumer proposal I have completed. Are they still allowed to not give me my transcripts if I request them. Case law in the United States indicates they must send you transcripts if you request them after the debt as been absolved in bankruptcy, but I cannot find anything in regards to Canada. This question may be a bit too complicated for this forum, but I've always received wonderful advice here, so I figured I would give it a shot. The money I owed was not a student loan and was erased on bankruptcy I am just wondering if they have the legal right to refuse to issue transcripts at this point, since it is in effect, trying to recover the money still. Thanks for the help.

It is not a case of legal right to withhold, it is their position that they are going to. This is somethi9ng you would have to consult with an attorney for that can act on that sort of thing. It is rather trivial though so any attorney with a mind can approach that situation.
