Hello,

I have rec'd my first RAP application and would like to avoid issues if at all possible. I was told to apply on-line for Canada pre-2000 loan, and the CIBC National Student Centre mailed me an application to fill in for the Ontario pre-2000 loan. But they also included an "Income Attestation" form.

Does anyone understand what this is for?

"As you are requesting Repayment Assistance for up to four months before the months in which you are providing your income information on the RAP application, you must also complete this form." The form is asking for "Actual Gross Family Income for months 3,4,5, and 6 prior to the Repayment Assistance application sign date. Why??

So far as I know, I'm not requesting assistance before the date I sign the application. The application requires gross income for 3 months (the month I sign, and the 2 months prior), so I don't see why I'm being asked for 4 more months income prior to that. My sixth previous month proof of income (last Dec.) will be difficult/is not impossible to get...

Any experienced RAPsters out there?

I hoped, I prayed, and I waited. That form was sent by mistake - why am I not surprised?

After 2 years on RAP - is it possible? I have unbelievably been sent two PAID IN FULL letters!! I have no more student loan payments!!! I had to let you and Mark know. This site was incredibily helpful and supportive when I needed it the most - when the system was at it's worst..

If I had to do it over again, I wouldn't.
