hi,
im in repayment assistance relief on my fulltime loan.
i have a part time loan for my graduate studies.
in nov 2013 it was approved (after apply in august!). a grant certificate for 600 bucks was supposed to be issued yesterday.
it was not.
today the phone rang.
it was the nslsc telling me that the grant certificate was cancelled because i was in stage 2 of the repayment assistance program (hit 60 months?).
a car payment went out yesterday, now i'm in overdraft. my partner is also in overdraft.
this 600 bucks meant we could get groceries.
are they allowed to cancel this certificate the day after you're supposed to get it?
this has been shown in my account since november, there was no indication of any restrictions on my account, i wasn't told or notified. the only thing they have said to me was that that i have hit my part time loan cap and that i wouldn't get any more after this term (the 13/14 term).

no one cares at the nslsc. they ecalated the call 4 times. they told me to talk to the ministry, and then said that there's no one i can call at the ministry. they said that they didn't have the information about my account until just now (when i can see my account info on their site). why are they enjoy washing their hands of issues and passing you on to the next handwasher??

i dont know what to do.

talk to your financial aid officer at your school to see if you can get some emergency funds. For the weekend, contact your local foodbank.   Best bet would be to contact your MP or MPP.
