Hey guys,

So I owe around 10,000 dollars in student debt and the CRA sent me a letter saying I need to be pay 2,000 bucks by the due date which includes a $75 finance charge.

I'm unemployed and living at home right now.

The only assets I have is my car, which is co-owned by my dad (we co-signed on the loan when buying the car which is in perfect standing).

I work odd jobs in SEO where I try to make 5-600 dollars a month.  Usually jobs off of craigslist/kijiji that are one time project things.

I would love if I can do monthly payments of $50-$100 until I get a proper job, but how do I negotiate with the CRA?  Since I owe so much money will I need to show bank receipts for my lack of income?

They are already taking my tax rebates, though I'd love to keep the yearly one and give them the smaller lump ones that come more often.  But I doubt they'd go for that.

This situation sucks (though I only have myself to blame I guess)

Any help/advice would be appreciated!
