I am trying to figure out my options for paying my student loan. I am been out of school for 7 years and have only ever been able to pay interest only or repayment assistance. I made to much to qualify for repayment assitance so my only option is to pay interest only again. The principal of my loan has stayed the same for the past 7 years.

Questions if I can only ever pay interest only payments for 15 years will the goverment kick in and absorn the balance ?

I know if you qualify repayment assistance the government kicks in to pay the principal and will pay of balance after 15 years.

Help I feel like I am throwing money into a black hole and will be paying for 50 years
