My last loan was 1998 and I finished school 1998. I had to file for bankruptcy Dec 1998 but the loans were not covered due to legislation at the time. I was not harassed till I was discharged. For CSL I got a medical form sent in and they are not harassing me but they say it's not forgiven. Both loans are now about $70,000 with all the interest accrued. There is no possible way I can repay this as I am not working and is on ODSP. OSL is calling and it is on my credit report. I wrote a letter to the MP seeking help to get loan forgiveness and was told since the loans are over 10 years old I can apply for an absolute order of discharge through the Ontario courts. The young man who told me this did not know how I can go about this.

Can this be done without filing for bankruptcy as I don't want to file for bankruptcy again. How do I go about doing this? Do I need a lawyer or what? Thanks for all help.
