A friend has been experiencing student loan problems with CIBC (attempting to collect the same loan twice) and asked for my input and help. I searched around the net and found my way here... and quite frankly, I'm shocked by some of the tales I've been reading. I can't say I have the answers, or that I'm even optimistic, but won't be discouraged. I'll suggest the ombudsman as an entry point and take it from there.

Meantime, the forum is a nice place to share information. I might suggest as a newb that a glossary page be put up - the heavy use of acronyms/initials makes a person's head spin after a while.

Thanks for your suggestion. Its a good one. If you are reading through the posts and come across acroynyms could you make a list and post it here and I'll try to explain them all. It would be a big help.
