I defaulted on my student loans.  I know this is my fault but finacial circumstances made it so I could not pay.  $6.00 per hour is not enough to live on or pay student loans.  I finally got a job and started to pay monthly payments to NCO.  I was only taking over for mat leave and my contract ended.  I got a new contract with the same company but not until Aug of this year and my contract ended in march.  I made back payments to NCO to catch up all my payments.  In the mean time they had gotten a judgement to Garnish my bank account and my wages.  Well my wages are direct deposit so they are taking every penny I earn.  Please help me I don't know where to go or how to fix this.  I will be homeless in less than 2 weeks and can't continue to work with no where to live.  Do I just drive off a bridge or is there a legal course of action left to me???

From what I have learned so far here in Alberta they can take anything you make over 800.00 a month.....well my rent is 879.00 so now what?  That does not inclued fuel for getting to work or money for food, insurance, gas, electric, phone....nothing???

first thing is to change to another bank and deposit your pay there.  Perhaps talk to John at CFWGroup...

http://www.cfwgroup.ca - www.cfwgroup.ca     Please note that he charges fees, but he's the best person I know to deal with this kind of thing...    Again, the first thing you should do is to get an account at another bank so they dont withdraw from the account you deposited your student loans into....
