Does anyone actually ask these collection agencies in writing to validate the debt they claim that you owe?  I had 3 collections I sent them a Debt validation letter to prove that I owe this debt to them and not  1 of them had any proof.  I did owe the money and I was not running away from my obligations but i just could not pay it while going to school full time.  I sent the letter registred mail, after 30 days of not validating i disputed with the cra's and it was gone..my limit on one card was 300 and the ollection agency wanted 1800 without telling why or how?
