I have a student loan that I have had for about 9.5 years now and I an trying to pay off my bills, I have my Ontario Student loan with a credit counselor along with other debts that I have but here is the problem, I make a whole whopping $900.00 a month if I'm lucky, I have 3 kids to support and bills to pay so I haven't been paying the Canada student loan AT ALL it has now grown to a scary $26,000.00 debt because of interest, I can't afford to pay my credit counselor most months for the $15,000.00 I have with them, I go to the food bank more then I do Grocery stores, and my phone, hydro, cable, and internet are about to be cut off as I can't afford to pay them either, my car just broke down so I have no way to get to work now and I can't afford my babysitter anymore, so pretty much I'm out of luck.  My income tax gets taken by the government, I use to pay a little extra income tax with my pay checks so that I could save money to get my kids eye glasses and take them to the dentist at the end of every year but now the government takes it all so my kids have to go with out, and so do I.  I just want this all to go away. I wish I had never tried to make something out of myself by going to school, that was the stupidest thing I ever did!  I would have been happier with no college and a minimum wage job then I would be right now! Anyone have any suggestions on what I should do? I heard that there is a way to get loans lowered so that a pathetic person like myself might be able to TRY to make payments but every website I have checks out just referred me back to another website until I was going in circles.  Boy do I wish I could disappear right now......anyway, if you know what to do please let me know! and Good luck to all the others out there like me!
