I am in regular contact with a Canadian collection agency. I've explained that I am confirming some information with the bankruptcy trustee, lawyer, etc. In their impatience, they have threatened me by saying that unless I hurry up and cooperate, they will decrease my US credit score (I am currently living in the US). Can a Canadian collection agency do anything to change a persons US credit score? Are they technically able to do this if they choose to?

The reason they are doing this is because you are seeking help in dealing with their aggressive behavior and tactical approach. Collectors behave in two ways when confronted with what you have described:

and that if they go to seek help elsewhere you will be wasting your time and money, and that they are not able to help you for whichever reason.
