Hello everyone!

I'm in a little bit of a pickle......without going into too much of a sob story I will just explain the basics of my situation. I went to school back in 2004 and I've defaulted on my loan of 27,00 a few times due to harships, I've done the whole interest relief thing, I may have not used up the 5 years worth of it yet bit it seems that evertime I apply fo it, there seems to be some sort of complication with the loss of forms and such. Anyhow I've been putting what I can down on my loan since then, 50$ here 20$ there but the fact is that I can't afford the 350$ a month that they want, I'm just scraping by as it is now. Does anyone have any suggestions? Will they send my loan to collections? Will they garnish my wages?

Thanks in advance

Jess

After many years of trying to resolve a similiar case (my own), and trying to negotiate monthly payments unsuccessfully, I called John LeBlanc at The CFW Group. Within 48 hours or less, they had agreed to accept the exact same mthly payments from CFW that they categorically refused from me. And the phone calls stopped immediately. So did the stress and worrying on my part (they call me at work). CFW will also explain this very complicated terrain to you, but honestly, for that reason - because it is so very complicated and requires specialized knowledge - you need to hire an Advocate. It seems counter-intuitive to give $ to CWF instead of paying down your loan, but this crazy system means it is money well spent. You will have peace of mind. And truly, the rates are very reasonable. I hired CFW once several years ago and every six months or so the calls start up again and I have to contact them to make it stop. All of that is included in the original fee. So you get years of advocacy for a relatively small amount of money.  -- Rachel Paige in Toronto
