I keep getting these messages on my answering machine telling me that I need to call them regarding my student loan. The message always starts part way through the automated message (like the automated voice starts when the answering machine picks up and the machine only starts recording part way through) and they never say who they are trying to contact (there are two of us with student loans living here). I've looked at all the websites for BC and Canada Student Loans and cannot find the number they asked me to call. I'm worried that this is spam or someone hoping I will call back and give then my SIN. The number was 1-866-303-3503. I was wondering if anyone knew if this is legit or not. I haven't called back because something just feels fishy to me. Maybe I'm just being paranoid - help would be appreciated. Thanks.
