I know this question was just posted but I need more info.

Have been living in the US now for 8yrs. I started paying my loan back about 5yrs ago. I contacted them. I have been paying $200mth and when I can I will give more.I just recently gave them a grand. All in $$US funds.

Revenue Canada guy has called me and told me its not enough and he will garnish my wages. Thing is he doesnt know where I work. Can he do that??? Seems fishy to me. I just got a letter from Revenue Canada not long ago asking for $300/mth so I wonder is this guy just using the scare tactic? I have always been on time with payments and I just dont get it.

How can someone garnish if they dont where you work??

I don't think they can take your wages if you work in USA, but as soon as you have money transfer to Cnd bank, I might able to take the money.

If you have been paying $200 a month, that is pretty good for any standard, do you know what is your minimum amount? You can ask them to revise the payment terms. The usual term is 9 years, but I think you can ask them change it 14 years, you pay more interest, but they will stop harassing you.
