I applied for the PDB a few months ago. I met all the requirements: I have a permanant disability (I'd received my student loans qualifying as one), I have a very low income (single mother on ODSP), etc. My doctor filled out the forms. I filled out the rest.

I received my reply less than two weeks later. They denied me. They said that they determined that I would probably be able to go back to work or school sometime in the future. They said it's a COMPLETE restriction for working and attending school. Just meeting the definition for permanant disability isn't enough.

At the time, I had every anxiety disorder in the book, almost daily migraines, and chronic severe depression. None of which have gotten any better in the 15 years I've dealt with them, and in fact, have only become worse. Since the denial, my diagnoses of depression has changed to type II Bipolar disorder, emphasis on the depression. It's not something that will get better with time.

I tried to appeal, they said I couldn't. Is there ANYTHING I can do?

They are wrong. I already addressed this issue.

It does not have to be a full disability... THEY NEED TO READ THEIR OWN REGULATIONS>>>

Go to the regulations and quote them the regulations that state the definition of disability.. They are not following their rules.
I will write to the canadian press about this...

Any decision can be appealed.

Have you talked to a lawyer?
