My husband requested a statement of account be mailed over a month ago (3 different phone messages).

He called again today and Mrs. K told him that she had requested the statement on October 3rd and it takes 4-5 WEEKS to get the request processed!!! ARE YOU FREAKIN' KIDDING ME??????

4-5 weeks to hit print, stuff an envelope and label/stamp it??? Where the heck does this request go to? And by what means? Is the request sent by pony express across the country, processed and then sent to us by pony express???

Anyway, her closing comment was "If you don't see the statement by early DECEMBER, give me a call back!" DECEMBER--that's 8 weeks after she apparently made the request??? The information will be so out of date by then!

Thought you could all use a laugh at this!

We did, actually, and it didn't take nearly as long as she said it was going to. In fact, we paid that loan off before Christmas, so we don't have to deal with CIBC on ANYTHING at all now! What a relief!

Now I look forward to making the BCSL Centre, the National Student Loan Services and RBC Student Loans go away--that might be a while yet though!
