So as the Courts and House of Commons ready to tackle our issue, I find it unnerving to think that this is the month we may find out whether some of us stand a chance at a new life, in the reasonably short-term perspective. Both actions of some magnitude taken on our behalf come to closure this month. Then, if unsuccessful with those, our only chance is a new government the next time around. Or winning the State-sponsored lottery. Or ten years, whichever comes first. But if ever one of them should lead to a change in policy, there are no friggin' words to express how I will feel on that day. Keeping Johnny's flat notes in mind, this could still spare my household quite a few years of uncalled for hell. Either way, it's a little scary.

It is so scary. I feel very uncertain and shaky.
In rereading the case law Johnny had provided its really made me think. Have I acted in good faith to pay this back? I think I have, but what if it does not look that way on paper, to some suit? What if they think I am hiding behind my marraige and children to avoid this debt? Because my debt is so massive(100 000) its just hard to imagine what this process will entail. Its unnerving to think they could change from ten to five but still have relief be out of reach for my family. Scary indeed, for all of us. |
