Hi everyone...

I have to say, I am so happy I found this site.  I have a very specific question.

I have sl's w/ the Bank of Nova Scotia.  I found out early this year that I had been sent to collections (CBCL) because I was in arrears for three months of payments (that I was dealing with).  For some reason, the BNS never reported my loans to Equifax.  Now my husband and I are buying a house w/ a no down payment mortgage and the lender will again check our credit reports.  CBCL has yet to report anything to Equifax.  Should I ask them not to report to the bureau?  Is there a way I can ensure that this dosen't end up on my credit report?  I am paying monthly to these weasels so I am hoping that's enough until the house closes in January...

Thanks for the help...

THere is no way...your best bet is to pay up as fast as you can and lay low......it happens some times...Get your mortgage done asap and hopefully it will slide under the wire.   Once you have the asset (house) even if a blotch does show up you will have a lot less trouble with it.  Just my 0.02$

Did Scotiabank send you a notice of arrears?  It is their own policy to send three.  I made a 4 page complaint one time and they effectively 'reset' the arrears notices.  It would be worth a complaint if they bungled your account by not sending you notices.  Written complaints scare them.
