Hello I am cotemplating of leaving the country for good. I emailed john leblanc to get some stuff straightened out as maybe he can help me. Here is just a breif run down (in point form) of my debt situation and my colourful dilemma....(my other posts are all over this form if you want details)
-Family left canada in 1986 (I was nine year old) and settled in Asia
-I came back in 1996 (I was 19) for university (had big dreams of being somebody)
-Got OSAP debt of 33000 and finished university degree.
-Owe now about 26000 after working for 2 years with a company.
-Lost job *got screwed over* 2 years ago along with finace' who i was to marry broke off (was a time of physcological pain!)
-I took out a loan for car just before I lost my job.
-Went back to school paid via credit cards
-Got robbed (roomates homeless girlfriend stole it and ran away without a trace) lost posessions worth 15000
-Had to buy stuff off credit card to survive.
-Went back home abroad
-Came back finished univerisity again and started doing temp work
-On interest relief currently untill end of august 2004
-Finishing my last temp job in the end of augst and returning back to family (as they cannot see me like this anymore and want me to come back as its not worth it)
Torn to a dilemma of living in canada by myself with no family or return back home and never come back to canada.
So as you can see this is such a complex matter. I don't have time only a month to do something, otherwise i am leaving for good and not returning. The positive thing is that i have struggled and kept my loans in good standing but now i am not able to anymore I give up.
I am in a totally strange situation here I cant find a balance in life! Need a therapist soon!!!
