Hi there,

I am 37 years old and took out a $12,000 loan in 1995 for school. $2K was a BC student loan the rest was federal. I never made a payment. I was contacted once but ignored it as I didn't have the money. I did taxes for the first time last year ('09) and received a refund for the past 5 years. There isn't anything on my credit report about the loan.

I don't make a lot of money and the thought of being forced to repay this at this point in my life is keeping me up at night as I barely have enough money to pay the rent.

If anyone could help it would be great. I always have this hanging over my head.
