Welcome the world championship of buck passing and illusion conjuring.
You're off to see the Wizard, are you? You think he can help you find your way out of here, Dorothy?
Your only hope is to click your heels together and say, "There's no place as awful as home!" three times. And then get the hell out.

I get the same bloody letter from Nordon on a consumer debt every 2
months or so...its total BS...unless you have a good job or a house and
they know it. Send them 5 $ a month on each loan and a letter to
go to hel#

Kim, hang in there. Or find a way to get out. Whichever. We (or at least I) will support your decision and do whatever is possible to ease your burden somewhat.
The colitis really makes me sad, because I know that the Legions of the Undead who chase you around WANT you to suffer. It's their stock in trade. If you suffer by owing money, you are to presume that your suffering will be eased by paying them. That's the message they're sending.
And by the way. I'm with you even though I carry the wrong kind of chromosomes from your point of view.

Thanks for the support but your comment about the "wrong kind of chromosomes" is NOT my point of view. Your location is Indonesia(?) so what is your story?

Just picked up the mail and low and behold there was an answer from Richard Jackson Director, Student Support Branch, Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities. Their response is not worth the time to type it in its entirety but here is what it basically says... the student signed on the dotted line and therefore are solely responsible......if we do not pay it is the taxpayer's responsibility..deal with the collections agencies for more manageable monthly payments.
Nice eh? To think i voted for that pric*!

Sorry, Kim,
just a remark concerning your generalisations about the only kind of men in the world. Forget it. I'm sure you're not a sexist.
My story. Briefly this:
My payments to an SL account were embezzled by the bank. This was known and proven. Nonetheless I was pursued to pay what was stolen. Third party collection agencies harrassed my new young wife for a debt we didn't owe to the point that she committed suicide.
I ended up drug addicted and homeless as a result of the persecution and their refusal to listen. I was eventually vindicated, but as I was in a hospital being treated for 20 years of substance abuse, malnutrition and exposure, a government representative came in to discuss the arrears and penalties incurred as a result of the theft.
They were willing to discuss reducing them or forgiving a portion of the interest.
I accused them of murder and made my own attempt. I now live on Java. I'm reasonably rich, fulfilled and happy. Mersan sz I exploit the locals.

I have some definite despise for people who don't abide by the rules because they think they are better but that despise is not limited to any one sex-- really. I am ashamed to admit that even my siblings--male or female--would cut me throat if they thought they could get ahead.
We must continue to approach the politicians. I have already reached Richard Jackson (416) 325-4345 and discussed the debt with him. Unfortunately, he showed no regard for my situation and he even refused to provide me with the name/number of the replacement for the previous student liason administrator, Frances Lamb. Be aware, that although they will talk to you ad infinitum it is pretty useless conversation. Here is a number that Jackson did provide that according to him is my only recourse--the provincial ombudsmen (416) 586-3300.
Sorry Javaman, your case is bizarre. Glad to see you haven't lost your sense of humour...

Thanks to an EI check I am still looking for meaning. Unfortunately for me it has been fruitless to-date as I appear to be convinced on some subconscious level that I am not worthy to act on my own instincts for my own benefit. Could it be that the elitist university (UW) where I studied (distance ed UW) had something to do with that? And, is it not interesting how past employers have used my creativity propping up my sense of self-worth and then expect that I capitulate this position to them and then when through to quietly take my place at the bottom of the quagmire once again. I don't think this is competition--do the work for me and then get the credit (NOT). Hopefully however I will either awake from my authentic state and join the ranks of the downtrodden as an EI-trained worker or <gleefully> come into my own self-worth (like J). The possibility that tragedy will strike my daughter's life in the meantime is scaring the he** out of me though; since we don't have MONEY and she has been encouraged to be authentic doesn't that make her the next martyr?
