I have an outstanding Canada student loan debt which shows as transferred/sold on my credit report as of 01/2018. I am assuming this means that it has been transferred to the CRA for collection. I no longer live in Canada and have not received any correspondence about the loan. I’m hesitant to contact them. Could they garnish my US wages?

Yes, it means that the loan has been transferred to CRA TSO for recovery.
