Before a student agrees to take out a student loan...they should be made completely aware of the trap and travesty that they are possibly about to agree to.
There should be legal counsel on site at the universities and colleges, that provide thorough and accurate warnings of the perils of signing your life away to student loan agreements.
They should warn students of the astronomical interest rates, the inability to declare bankruptcy and negotiate some forgiveness when clearly it is a debt that is not humanly bearable for the average student.
It is inhumane and unfair, to say the very, very, least. Student loans are an unbearable burden. It is important that EVERY prospective borrower, should be made FULLY aware of, beforehand.
I, truly, believe this.
